Liza Šimenc is freelance artist working in the field of contemporary dance, performance and visual art.
 She is self-employed  in culture as a dancer, choreographer and pedagogue. She finished ballet conservatorium in Ljubljana in 2010 and same year joined the company Kjara’s Dance Project. She was soloist and assistant of artist director Kjara Starič Wurst from 2010 untill 2015 touring internationally. Her artistic education comes from diverse professionall courses taken in Hong Kong, Brussels, Amsterdam, New York, Budapest, Vienna, Berlin, Madrid, Milano, London… As a guest artist she was working on projects with Snježana Premuš, Lothem Regev, Maša Kagao Knez and others. Currently she is developing projects in cooperation with Urša Rupnik and Tatiana Kocmur and is living and creating in Ljubljana and Berlin. She was engaged in several theater projects as a choreographer and is making her own interdisciplinary art installations connected with social work and activism.
